XPOGEN’S APPROACH

Responsible solar material decisions.

Clear information, appropriate receiving checks and honest limits on what an enquiry can establish.

Better decisions start with clearer information.

Xpogen’s role is to organise enquiries about solar PV materials and help clarify a possible receiving route. Our approach centres on the material, the people authorised to transfer it and the business proposing to receive it.

  • Record uncertainty: keep untested condition, unknown technology and missing records visible.
  • Clarify authority: establish the material’s source, ownership or permission to act, and any restrictions on release.
  • Review the receiving route: consider intended use, facility, relevant eligibility evidence and the material’s status.
  • Agree responsibilities: clarify inspection, acceptance, handling, transport and required records before commitment.

A possible reuse route and a waste receiving route need different evidence. A photograph, an introduction or a document review does not establish safety, functionality or legal clearance.

An enquiry is not an environmental result.

A submitted lot is not proof of material recovered. A collection is not, by itself, proof of recycling. Claims about recovery, reuse or environmental benefit need records that support the specific outcome.

Relevant evidence may include the quantity actually transferred, receiving-party acknowledgement, the destination and documented treatment or other outcome. Any future public claim would also need a clear basis, scope and explanation of remaining uncertainty.

We do not present unverified recovery totals, carbon savings, completed-project claims or impact metrics on this page. Our material photos illustrate visible condition; they do not establish ownership, availability or an Xpogen processing facility.

Keep the roles clear.

Xpogen is a neutral, managed procurement network. It does not take ownership of material, hold buyer–seller funds, provide escrow, or issue recycling or EPR certificates. The service does not operate as a recycler.

Owners and receiving businesses retain their responsibilities for the actual transfer and intended activity. Material acceptance, contractual terms, payment, transport and required evidence must be agreed for the specific opportunity.

For practical information about the checks and records discussed during an enquiry, read the Services guide. For current Indian e-waste rules and solar PV guidance, consult the CPCB e-waste portal.

Start with the facts you have.

Share a location, approximate quantity and what is known about the material. Missing details can be clarified during follow-up.
