What a Solar Panel Lot Price Actually Covers

A solar panel enquiry started with one asking price for panels and equipment. A later quote for the panels alone gave a buyer a different basis for comparison.

Xpogen team · Anonymised enquiry, October 2026

What the asking price covered

A lot of several hundred modules was initially discussed at a single asking price. The bundle also included separate equipment. The seller later quoted a per-panel asking rate for the modules alone, with GST extra.

That clarification mattered for a buyer interested only in modules. To compare the two quotes, first define which items are included and put both on the same quantity, tax and cost basis. A separate equipment valuation needs an itemised price and evidence of the equipment’s identity and condition.
