Solar Panel Lot Inventory Template
A workbook for EPCs, O&M teams and asset owners to describe a lot of damaged or retired modules before discussing an offer, assessment or handover.

What to record
- Start with the site and lot reference, district and state, and who can approve release. Record whether panels are still installed and what access is available for loading.
- Use one row per make, model and condition group where known. Separate visibly damaged panels from visually intact or untested panels. Use the condition and testing fields to describe what you actually know.
- Use a measured total where available. If you estimate from count and unit weight, record the source of that unit weight. Keep unknown weights blank so they can be followed up.
- Reference existing overview, label and damage photos. Use records already available or gathered safely by qualified personnel.
Worked example
A hypothetical project has two groups of removed modules. The first group was weighed. The second uses a 27 kg per-module estimate.
| Condition group | Count | Weight recorded |
|---|---|---|
| Visibly damaged | 160 | 4,480 kg measured |
| Visually intact, untested | 40 | 1,080 kg estimated (40 × 27 kg) |
| Lot total | 200 | 5,560 kg reported · measured and estimated combined |
What happens next
The workbook has a blank inventory and a filled example. Start with the blank tab, keep sensitive approvals and documents in your own records, and use the enquiry form to share the location, approximate quantity and condition. The Xpogen team can discuss which details are useful for follow-up.
